And now for something completely different...Pink Floyd?
I'm doing live visuals for a Pink Floyd tribute band on Saturday at the "Queens Hall" in Nuneaton (event info here). This came out of the blue and it's not the sort of gig I had necessarily considered but I've always been partial to a bit of floyd and after it was discussed initially I tested out some floyd with visuals and was well pleased with the results so am looking forward to seeing it live on a bigger scale.
This gig is an experiment for both me and the band to see how it all works out but if it does there should be plenty more to follow. Breathe are a well-established Floyd tribute band who gig regularly and sound spookily like the real thing. Have a look at their website for more info about them.
Update
As an experiment I think this was very much a success - I thought the visuals and music went really well together and everything else worked out exactly as planned too. The band are a thoroughly nice bunch and had pretty much the whole crowd singing in the aisles by the end - I'm looking forward to the next one at the Waterside theatre in Stratford (April 20th) where we should have a far more extensive visuals setup running across 3 large screens.

DVD downloads in testing
We're virtually onto the last stage of testing our DVD downloads system - so far so good :) It looks like we'll supply the DVD images as .iso files (rather than Nero .nrg files as planned) since they'll work on a wider variety of burning programs and will also work on Macintosh and Linux etc.
